"What A Day"

Nothing starts my day better then reading or listening to deep truth that tells me someday I will see Jesus, the finisher of my faith. I can face what this day brings for I know without a shadow of a doubt I will see Him, be with Him, live in the place He is preparing for me. A good preacher once said, if you want fuel to make it through the days here on earth remember we are only sojourners, this world is not our home.  While here remember who saved us and who will meet us when our journey is through here on this side of heaven.  Life in between those two events will then be all about Him.  What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see.

Does it excite your heart today as you think about what a day that will be?

  1. What a great reminder. It does bring a peace here now to realize that Truth within.

What a day of rejoicing that will be. That old hymn brings back wonderful memories and makes me realize how quickly life is and that before we know it we'll be home.

  2. Knew it would bless you brother. We had a dear friend die recently after a hard bout with cancer. Their two son were in our dorm in Bolivia. Dan was the most patience man I knew and had such a pure heart. He told his wife, Karen, how blessed I am that God would give me this trial to bear for Him. I can't hardly write this without crying...not because of Dan but because of his faith in the one who controlled his life. It's so easy to say peace when things are hard but really that kind of peace is reserved for the hard stuff. Live does pass so quick which means we need to redeem our days and use them well. Ok I am crying inside and out...thanks for taking the time to view the clip. I plan on singing that song soon with a band who ask me every once in a while to sing with them at churches.

I have heard much about PNG my father was actually one of the Ozzie soldiers on the Kakoda Trail during World War 2. I loved watching and listening to that video. The older man at the beginning is so great, and then to see Billy Graham and Joni Errikson Tada...WoW... I am going to put it on FB for others to enjoy.Love from Oz. Hugs

  6. Crystal, Thanks for visiting my site and listening to the clip.

It was interesting to hear the PNG older people talk about their memories of World War 2. About an hour hike into the jungle near us was an old air strip with the shell of a plane from then. When we would go to the beaches that were more remote you would see lots of rusted pieces of bombs, tank tracks. When they were developing our support center they dug up an old machine gun. It was brutal war for both side. We loved our ministry there, would go back if health would permit it. Through the years we have learned God uses many things to change our course.
I am blessed you would want to share the precious clip on fb. Blessings my sister

  8. I'd like to hear you sing that song. If it does get recorded, please forward it if you don't post it on your site.

Those type of testimonies stand the hair up on the back of my neck in awe. It shows how real and powerful our Father is.

Those mistakes from the heart are a blessing to me. Your heart helps fill mine.

    God bless you, sister.

  13. Today I was thinking of my mother, recently passed into heaven. I know she is enjoying the beauty of heaven and being able to see the face of Jesus. Life is so short and just a few more days it seems and we too will join with those who have gone on before.
