What's On Your Mind?

What's on my mind facebook ask.

Everyday I must meditate on the absolute perfection and completeness of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing we could do ever think, desire, say, or do that could in any way add to the forgiveness and acceptance that you received from God based on Christ's work. You are perfect in the eyes of God because the perfect righteousness of Jesus has been attributed to your spiritual account. Paul Tripp

This truth motivates me to say I'm sorry when I am wrong, change my attitude when I am being selfish. This truth helps me to trust Him to work in me to become more like Him. If I start focusing on my sins, past and present instead of on the forgiveness bought on Calvary for all sins I will become self focused which leads to a comparison trap which leads to either pride or depression. There lies the battle front...God help me to be courageous and drop my self reliance and rest in the finished work of your Son.

  1. I've often wanted to tell Facebook that if they knew what was really on my mind they would probably kick me off! Not because it is bad, but because they just wouldn't be able to understand it. You have stated it all so beautifully. Because of Calvary we are made new, complete and beautiful in God's eyes. Yes, there may still be a lot of work to do in the world's eyes, but God sees the New Creation that He redeemed from destruction and we are beautiful in His sight. Praise God!!!

    1. I had to laugh at you wanting to tell fb all that is in your mind. I feel the same way but I also do not want to be hushed by them so I don't do much political stuff. they may get tired of hearing about Jesus but so far they have not taken me off. So I will just keep on speaking His truth. Blessings Pamela.

  2. You have said this perfectly. I pray I could help others to trust Jesus and turn away from the ways of our world. But I know God is the One who holds that key to care for each one of us. I know this because many times I drag up things I did in my past and think well God does not love me and He always always proves me wrong. I hope many read these words. They have given me such peace tonight. Thank you.

  3. Thank you for visiting my site and I am so glad it resonated with your heart. Tell yourself daily, His love is not based on what I did in my past, what I did today or what I could do tomorrow. He loves us so much.

  4. Great reminder to us all, Betty, to take the focus off ourselves and our sins of the past, and focus on Jesus and all He's done for us. I'm glad to NOT be on Facebook anymore!
    Blessings!

    1. I can see in the future us not being on facebook, after we retire and stop being part of the outreach of our mission. I know for sure I would spend that extra time reading books and spending time reading my bible. for sure it's a time eater. I have not been on much since the 20th of Oct due to health issues. But slowly I am gaining strength and feel like sitting before a screen. Blessings Martha.

  6. I really like your post jealously. I don't deal with it much anymore, lived long enough to really understand the grass is not greener on the other side. Blessings.
